It was painted with soil from the Brazilian hinterland, where the desire to write it was born. It emerged from the authors Isabel Malzoni and Laura Gorski’s curiosity about what children feel when their mothers persist in walking to find the best paths, when she leaves and (does not) take them along.

It is a tribute to motherhood and the feminine, while also reflecting an important lesson from childhood: mom leaves, but she returns.
