She is an illustrator. Born in 1980 in Saga, Japan. She graduated in Cultural Studies from Fukuoka University and studied illustration at Mizumaru Anzai Juku and MJ. Her work spans various media, including magazines, books, commercials, murals in New York City, among others. She was selected in the TIS (Tokyo Illustrators Society) Competition in 2008 and the Tokyo Book Jacket Illustration Competition in 2012. Chika enjoys drawing everyday scenes and animals with lines full of personality.
