The author
Chika Miyata is an illustrator. Born in 1980 in Saga, Japan, she holds a degree in Cultural Studies from Fukuoka University and studied illustration at Mizumaru Anzai Juku and MJ. Her work spans various media, including magazines, books, commercials, and murals in New York City. She was selected for the 2008 Tokyo Illustrators Society (TIS) Competition and the 2012 Tokyo Book Jacket Illustration Competition. Chika enjoys drawing everyday scenes and animals using lines full of personality.
