What do family and affection have to do with palindromes?

What do palindromes, those words or phrases that can be read backwards and forwards, have to do with affection and family? For uncle Pedro, one of the narrators of this book, everything. Uncle, who used to do headstands instead of walking and rested his feet on the pillow, learned what a palindrome was with his sister’s name: Ana. And since then, he has researched and created palindromes.
Uncle Pedro read everything backwards looking for palindromes, but his most beautiful creations appeared in “inspiring, situations of love and affection”. Such as a day at the zoo with the family, or watching a football game on TV with grandpa. That is good news, because in Uncle Pedro’s big, affectionate family, everyone is different, and that is great!
