O Pai da Mamãe (Mom’s Dad)

This is how the girl starts a conversation with her grandpa during a walk on the beach. She tells him the memories shared by her mother: her father's physical traits and work, what made him mad, and what she learned from him. The grandfather, who listens with great interest to the stories, accompanies the day that his granddaughter makes an important discovery about the impact of time on family bonds,and its beauty.

The Authors
Cristiana Gomes is an early childhood educator. She began writing when she realized she could tell her students and her daughters not only stories from books but also the ones she made up. This is her second book.
Odilon Moraes holds a degree in Architecture but has been working as an illustrator and children's book author since 1990. His picture books—so many he has even lost count—have received several awards, such as the Jabuti, the FNLIJ Best Book of the Year, and the Adolfo Aizen Award.
