What would you do if you saw a dragon in your backyard? Well, kids go through all sorts of things that adults wouldn't believe!

"Dragons don't exist! That girl is definitely lying, and this book is a hoax! As if! Have you ever seen one? Of course not! What? You're telling me you have? Oh, please! What? You've seen one too? Hold on, are you telling me there's a dragon on the cover of this book? Where? Dragon, what dragon?"

TELMA BRAGA. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, but I have lived in Brasília for many years. Hence, I have two loves: the sea and the Cerrado. I hold a degree in Literature and a master's in French Language from UFRJ, and I am a specialist in Artistic Storytelling and in The Children's Book: processes of creation, mediation, and circulation, from A Casa Tombada, in São Paulo. Currently, I am a postgraduate student in the course Writing Gestures as a Practice of Risk, also at A Casa Tombada. I don't know what the Ministry of Education thinks about this, but I'd like to see them deny that I have a PhD in tree-hugging, with a postdoc in LIBI (Brazilian Language of Ipês). With lots of field experience. I love to read, travel, write, play, chat, and eat cake. Not necessarily in that order, because it depends on the day. And, of course, I love stories! That is why I write books and tell stories for all ages. Dragon, What Dragon? is my sixth book and the first in partnership with this brilliant guy, Rodrigo Andrade, who, like me, believes in dragons. If you don't believe in them, beware! They might catch you by surprise! I dedicate this story to everyone who sees dragons.

RODRIGO ANDRADE. I was born in the capital of São Paulo, and to this day I live in the same neighborhood, called Cangaíba. I have been passionate about libraries and picture books since I was little. I studied Graphic Arts, then specialized in Web Development, and today I work in digital education, producing multimedia content and animations. I am also a specialist in The Children's Book: processes of creation, mediation, and circulation, from A Casa Tombada, in São Paulo. Not to mention my PhD in random drawings, with a postdoc in LIBI (Bionic Licentiate of Iguanas)—degrees not officially recognized, but highly validated by the imagination. I love reading, drawing, watching cartoons, and eating pizza and sweets. Not necessarily in that order. And, like Telma, I love books! Dragon, What Dragon? is my twentieth book, and the first in partnership with Telma Braga, who, like me, likes stories as much as she likes dragons. If you don't believe (in either of the two), beware: they might make you happy! I dedicate this story to Antonio and Hemerson, with whom I lived my first draconic adventures.
