In February, my house transforms itself.

This is how the boy who is the protagonist of this book tells us about the transformations and preparations that occur in his house in the month that titles this book, and is known for its parties all over Brazil. For him, February announces the preparations for one of Bahia most important Bloco, or street party group: Filhos de Gandhy (Gandhy’s sons).

Curiosity, discovery, flavors, smells and colors are part of the stitching by author Carol Fernandes to show us the beauty of this tradition.

The book is dedicated to Gilberto Gil, an artist who is essential to Brazilian culture and inseparable from the current history of Filhos de Gandhy.
