Thousandtears, or Milágrimas, is a famous lyrics by poet Alice Ruiz, with music by Itamar Assumpção and sung by Zélia Duncan, Ná Ozzetti, Anelis Assumpção, and Alzira E., among so many strong women. Now Thousantears has become a picturebook by Luli Penna.

Zélia Duncan, one of the female voices to whom the book is dedicated, says that Thousandtears “is one of those lyrics that have always been some place. Predestined to exist within us, penned by someone ”. The singer says: “It had to be written by a woman, by an Alice. A one and only Alice Ruiz.
