I Should Be at School is a non-fiction book written and illustrated collectively by many children who live in Maré, a large neighborhood made up of 8 favelas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
These children have been used to standing up for their rights from a very early age and, as can be seen in this book, they have a lot to say and to show the world.
